Singing sensation Susan Boyle has achieved everything she ever dreamed of since becomming an overnight global star - except finding a man that is. Susan admitted she had "never been kissed" before walking on to the Britain's Got Talent stage in 2009.

Opening her heat this week about her love life for the first time, Susan said "We all like the idea of sharing our lives with someone who is going to loof after and protect us. I'm on my own quite a lot and that special person hasn't come along yet".

I really hope she finds love, someone who wants her for herself and not her money.

I can't believe it's 23 years ago today since I started Sara Eden.

After recovering from a broken shoulder my friends both male and female would come to see me and complain about how difficult it was to find a partner. It was 1988 and those of us in our 20's were working hard and playing hard, we had it all - except a partner!

Wow how times have changed. I used to have to convince people joining Sara Eden was a sensible decision, they would be meeting people who wanted to be met. People with similar goals and aspirations who were also working long hours and wanted to find Mr or Miss Right rather than Mr or Miss will do.

Fast forward to 2011 how times have changed, the stigma has gone and people look at joining Sara Eden as a first resort rather than a last resort!

I wonder what the next 23 years will bring...

With the most important Royal wedding since Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 now only two days away. I can reveal that this very special event has increased the number of people enquiring about our services.

The marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton on Friday 29th April 2011 has lifted peoples spirits. Over the past month new enquiries have been telling us the wedding news has made singles think about their life and future in a positive way. Who knows 2011 might be a bumper year for Sara Eden wedding announcements!

What a surprise - Katie Price is getting divorced!

Oh well what a surprise Katie Price is getting divorced again! Now although I do admire Katie for all she has achieved, I do feel she rushed (or rather ran full speed) into her marriage to Alex Reid. The mother of three is said to have told friends the 11 month marriage is definitely over, adding that Alex had changed from an 'ordinary man' to a 'fame hungry sponger'. Surely this can't be a complete surprise to her - it's no surprise to anyone else. Katie is also said to have told friends that she 'regretted' ever marrying cage-fighter Alex: 'I look back and regret the marriage with all my heart. I convinced myself I was in love but looking back I probably wasn't.' Of course not Katie! In the 23 years I have run Sara Eden and been a full time Matchmaker one thing I ALWAYS tell people is whatever they do, DON'T rush into a full scale long term relationship when you have just come out of one - it will only end in tears! You need to have time to mourn the passing of a relationship before you are ready to move on. So my advice to Katie Price would be to have some time on your own and enjoy time with your children before moving on to the next man.

What a lovely surprise I got today when looking at our inbox. A double wedding! "Hi just to let you know that I met one of your clients via Sara Eden in February 2007 and we got married in November 2010! What's more, my friend who introduced me to your agency also met a man via your agency and she married him 3 weeks before I got married! I thought you would like to know the good news". Thank you so much Linda for sharing your happy news and allowing us to put your email is in our success story files in our offices for potential members to see.

Well onwards and upwards more matchmaking to do.

New Year - New Love!

Welcome to 2011! I can't believe we are almost half way through January already and like all January's before, it is one of the busiest months in the year for Sara Eden. As the New Year dawns emails ping into our inbox from those who are single and don't want to be this time next year. As always Saturday is a hectic day for us but being the second Saturday in January it's more hectic than ever. So I thought I would pop out for some lunch before my next client was due and let Debbie and Nancy get on with their matchmaking as apparently I talk too much! Windsor is very busy today and I find a small cafe and order a baked potato and start reading the paper. The next thing I know I hear a voice shout "Karen, it is you isn't it?". "Do you remember us? Gill and Brian we met 12 years ago through Sara Eden, got married 11 years ago and this is Caris our 10 year old daughter". I did remember them but didn't know they were an item. It was lovely catching up with their news, both had grown up families and Caris was a later life baby for them. As I said to Gill, it's nice to know about our success stories even if it is by chance some 12 years later! Ah another success for Sara Eden and I must tell Debbie when I get back to the office as she recommended Gill select Brian and they both wanted to say thank you to her.
